The largest of seven Canary Islands and home to the tallest mountain in the whole of Spain, Tenerife is the ultimate holiday destination, offering plenty of sun, sea and sand. Tenerife is famous for both its stunning coastline and beaches, and its nightlife, with many of Tenerife's most popular night clubs based around the numerous resorts, including the capital city, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, located on the island's northeastern coastline.

From sunbathing to surfing, fine dining to shopping, and whale watching to general sightseeing, tourist attractions are plentiful around Tenerife. Combined with the island's warm and mild year-round weather, it is no surprise that Tenerife attracts thousands of visitors each year, particularly during the summer and winter months.

Tourism is booming throughout Tenerife, with the main resorts of Santa Cruz, Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, Candelaria and El Médano all offering a range of tourism kiosks and manned tourist information centres. Here you will find information about where to stay, what to see, how to get there and the island's various towns, villages and resorts. In general, the main tourist resorts can be found on the southern side of Tenerife, alongside the island's spectacular coastline and beaches, such as Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos and also the Playa de las Américas area.
