Attractions Nearby Tenerife
(Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain)
Tenerife is one of seven Canary Islands standing in the Atlantic Ocean, close to mainland Spain. Many other island attractions lie close to Tenerife, with Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote being the other main islands, all located to the east of Tenerife, with 'island hopping' being particularly popular. All three of these islands can be easily reached from Tenerife by plane or ferry and are major tourist resorts, full of world-class attractions. Most flights between the islands are handled by the Tenerife Norte airport, which is close to Santa Cruz.
The smaller island attractions of La Palma, Gomera and Hierro can be found on the western side of Tenerife and although less popular with tourists, still have much to offer. Here is some further information about some of the main attractions nearby Tenerife.
